Today, I just felt the urge to say to the whole world how I am really loving Rascal Flatts!

This American country rock band has three members: Gary LeVox (lead vocals), Jay DeMarcus (bass guitar, keyboard, piano, vocals) and Joe Don Rooney (lead guitar, vocals). A lot of people here are not familiar with them, since country songs are not that popular here (or was it just not popular to my circle of friends?). Whenever I tell them one song I love, they'd say that they don't know the song, nor the singer. But I just love them so much! There was a time that I kept playing only their songs for one whole month! Here are my top favorite songs sang by Rascal Flatts:

"The Day Before You"

I had all but given up on finding
The one that I could fall into
On the day before you
I was ready to settle for
Less than love and not much more
There was no such thing as a dream come true
Oh, but that was all the day before you

Now you're here and everything's changing
Suddenly life means so much
I can't wait to wake up tomorrow
And find out this promise is true
I will never have to go back to
The day before you

In your eyes I see forever
Makes me wish that my life never knew
The day before you

Oh, but Heaven knows those years without you
Were shaping my heart for the that day I found you
If you're the reason for all that I've been through
Then I'm thankful for the day before you

Now you're here and everything's changing
Suddenly life means so much
I can't wait to wake up tomorrow
And find out this promise is true
I will never have to go back to
The day before you

Was the last day that I ever needed alone
And I'm never going back
No I'm never going back

Now you're here and everything's changing
Suddenly life means so much
I can't wait to wake up tomorrow
And find out this promise is true
No I'm never going back
I will never have to go back to
The day before you

This song is actually my song for my fiance Chris. :)

Here is another song I love love love:

"My Wish"

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

I hope you'll find time listening to their songs. They really are great, and if ever they will visit the Philippines, I would really be thrilled to be at the front seat. :)

Congratulations Bro and Ella!

Just last Saturday, my best friend Arvie has finally bid good bye to his bachelor and happy-go-lucky life as he promised to take Ella as her lawfully wedded wife. I know that both of them have been waiting all their lives for that very special day. Ella was so pretty and so blooming and Arvie was so gwapo din (thanks to the foundation and lip balm, hehehe!) Although I was not able to take a picture of the groom and bride, I had pictures of my fiance and my other classmates who attended the wedding:

Watching how teary-eyed my Bro was during the wedding made me more excited on my upcoming wedding! I could imagine how the reception would go, and how much tears Pepper and I would cry on that very special day. :)

I wish Arvie and Ella a wonderful married life. There will be tough times for them but I'm sure that the depth of their love for each other will conquer everything. I love you both! :)

This is it!

So this is it. My first ever blog write up for 2011. (It's never too late, you know! Hahaha!)

I don't even know what to write at this moment. Things just slip into my mind and then eventually I will forget all of them. I'm alone here in the apartment, and I don't have any indulgence to go out and have a walk in the mall. (Walk lang, walang ready na cash e, hehehe!) Actually, even if I have the money to spend, I don't really use it, unless it's important. I always have this thing in my head that whatever I will buy, it should be of great use to me. I would always think of how long I will be able to use it. My fiance would always tell me that if I want to buy something, I should buy it. Kilala naman daw nya kasi ako, masyado daw akong "Cory" (kuripot daw, hahaha!) He would even demonstrate that Laban sign that became famous during EDSA revolution. Hays... I don't know, maybe I just know the value of money that I don't want to waste it through buying something I like, but don't need. For me, every centavo must be well-spent. I know that money don't just fall from trees. Pinaghihirapan ko kasi lahat ng meron ako. Para kasi saken, I should live simply, kasi maraming mga tao ang ni hindi makumpleto ang complete set of meals sa isang araw.

But it is only now that I realize that I should pamper myself with the things that I like sometimes. Ano ba naman ung kumupit ako ng sanglibong piso sa libo libong kinikita ko buwan buwan (wow, ang yaman!!!! hahahaha!). A little prize for my hardwork.

Thank you Honey for making me realize this.

My "have never's"

This might sound funny to some, to know that there are still a lot of things and places which I have never done, been or seen. But I'm still brave enough to tell the world that as of this blogging, I have never:

1. seen Manila Cathedral
2. been drunk (because I don't drink, hehe)
3. been to Enchanted Kingdom
4. watched a Matrix movie
5. failed to check if water is dripping from the faucet every night before I sleep
6. eaten exotic foods (if that is how they call meat of dogs, frogs, sawa, bayawak, at kung ano pang hindi baboy, baka, manok o isda)
7. slept in prone position (nakadapa) (hmm.. none that I'm conscious of)
8. smoked (not even tried, because I hate it!)

Hmmm... these are some of the "have never's" that I remember. I'll try to recall some other things that I can add to this list. :)

Just a thought..

I can't imagine how my life would be running if all the things that happened to me did not happen. If I would be given the chance to live my life all over again, I wouldn't change anything. The hardships, the trials and the sad and depressing moments made me tough. The sweet and loving times I had with my family and friends made me realize how blessed I am. Problems will always be present no matter how we live our lives. We just have to live it the way it should be lived. We should stay happy, do what we love to do, and start doing it NOW. :)

The Programmer and Me

I once met this programmer way back in Grade 6, when I was asked by my teacher to be the conductress of the school choir which would join a competition during that time. I didn't notice him at first... hmm.. actually, i really didn't notice him. All I remember is a petite boy wearing eyeglasses standing at the right part of the choir. No acquaintances. No conversations.

Then we went to the same school in high school. He was my classmate during our freshmen year. I didn't notice him during the first day of class when usually our teachers would let us introduce ourselves to everyone... hmm..actually, i really didn't notice him until the last day of that school year.

We never had communication during our college years. In fact, I almost forgot I had a schoolmate who used to wear eyeglasses in elementary. Maybe because we were not really close friends.

When we were already working, we had the chance to talk through FB chat, and there he revealed that his long term relationship failed. I felt sad for him, even if we were not really close. During that time, he was in KSA.

When he went home in 2009, we had the chance to meet during Christmas with our friends. And maybe that was when we started building a friendship which we both cherish right now.

I may have not noticed him in years, but now, I am happy and proud to say that this programmer whom I never thought I would like for myself is now my fiance. :D

I never wished for Chris. All I know is that God always brings something or someone in our lives not because we wished for them but because He knows the true desires of our hearts. :)

I Missed Mimi!

I missed Mimi so much! I was truly happy when she and Mon went home to celebrate Mama's and Joy's birthdays. Eventhough it was just a week, it's better than not seeing her at all. I so love her! I miss you Mims! :D
